Pedro Porcayo is a well-known RealtorĀ® in the City of West Chicago, Illinois that can be regularly seen in the community with a smile and helping hand.
Pedro was born in Cuernavaca Morelos, Mexico and is number seven of five sisters and four brothers.Ā Growing up, Pedro had big dreams and goals he wanted to accomplish.Ā He knew that in order to go after his dreams he needed to move to the Unites States.
In April of 1979 he arrived to Chicago and started off as a factory worker.Ā He soon found out that he was not learning the English language and the job was not providing the personal and financial growth he was looking for so, he decided to move to the suburbs and found work as a dishwasher at a restaurant working seven (7) days a week and twelve (12) hours a day.Ā It was there where he accomplished his first goal of learning English.
Pedro was very driven.Ā He worked as dishwasher for a couple of years and quickly advanced to cook and soon after was promoted to chef. At the time, his goal was to own his own restaurant.
One day, his whole entire life changed.Ā Ā A friend of his suggested that he become a real estate agent.Ā It took him a while to decide whether or not he wanted to make such a drastic career change.Ā He had already accomplish so much in the restaurant business.Ā He knew he was not afraid of hard work and, decided to take on the challenge.
On July, 9, 1996, Pedro Porcayo became a licensed real estate salesperson and later went on to become a licensed real estate broker.
Pedro is now a licensed real estate managing broker and sole owner of Porcayo & Associates Realty.Ā He has consistently been one of the top agents in his real estate career and has received many production awards in the West Chicago Region including Top Producer and named one of the Top 250 Latino Real Estate Agents by Inman.com in 2012.
Pedro holds a significant track record and enormous amount of knowledge in the real estate business.Ā He consistently supports his community and is always interested in learning how to better service his clients.
A lover of life, runner, salsa dancer and avid soccer fan, Pedro lives in West Chicago with his wife and children. He has four boys who play soccer and are members of the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO), whom he was also a former Regional President.Ā Pedro is known to take pride in his family and work.Ā Helping people with their real estate needs remains his focus and what keeps real estate a passion and not just a profession.
